Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) proudly celebrated a historic achievement as two of its student organizations emerged among the top winners in the inaugural President’s Sustainable Development Goals (SanDiGan) Awards, held at PNU Manila during PNU’s Year-End Program and Araw ng Pangulo with the theme “Pasasalamat at Pagpupunyagi.”

The PNUNL Student Government, led by Ms. Jan Ella Bravo and guided by adviser Dr. Julievic D. Palting, earned Second Place in the Prosperity Category for its flagship extension project Salaknib Ifugao: Pagsulong sa Sitio Dapis. The initiative strengthens community partnerships, promotes sustainable development, and uplifts the Ifugao community through responsive, people-centered programs.

Meanwhile, the PNU North Luzon Creative Team, headed by Angela Amin with members Vincent Villanueva and Czarina Marfil, was recognized as Second Best in the Partnership Category for its Bukluran Partnership Forum. Guided by adviser Dr. Jandy S. Danzalan, the team demonstrated creativity, leadership, and a deep commitment to service. Their project promotes youth empowerment, SDG advocacy, and civic engagement through collaborative forums, seminars, media initiatives, and strengthened inter-organizational networks.

“These achievements reflect the values of excellence, integrity, and community-centered action that PNU North Luzon continues to uphold,” said university representatives. “The success of our Student Government and Creative Team shows how gratitude, perseverance, and collaboration can lead to meaningful and lasting impact.”

This recognition stands as a proud moment for PNU North Luzon, honoring student leaders who embody true service and contribute to nation-building through purposeful action.
