Alicia, Isabela – Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) inaugurated a dedicated classroom for Indigenous Peoples (IP) students on February 27, 2025, at the PNUNL Campus, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive education.

The event gathered PNUNL leaders, faculty, students, and key partners, including University President Dr. Bert J. Tuga, Vice President for Finance and Administration Dr. Lordinio A. Vergara, and Dr. Mekasha Kassaye Gobaw. Representatives from the Philippine Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (PCCCII) and the Board of Trustees of Nan Sing School of Cauayan City, who helped fund the initiative, also attended.

More than just a learning space, the classroom symbolizes PNUNL’s dedication to supporting Indigenous learners, fostering cultural identity, and ensuring an education that honors their heritage. The university continues to lead in inclusive education, creating opportunities where diversity is celebrated and embraced.
