Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) came alive with color, music, and tradition as it celebrated Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month today, October 22.

The event highlighted the richness of indigenous culture through performances and competitions that honored the creativity and heritage of the IP communities.

The celebration showcased a short talk show that featured three IP students who shared their experiences as members of their respective indigenous communities and as students of the University.

Their heartfelt testimonies shed light on the challenges and pride of upholding their cultural identity while pursuing higher education.

Other students from various programs and sections enthusiastically participated in activities such as headdress-making, traditional attire presentation, IP food expo, indigenous community advocacy videos, and indigenous dance contests.

Guest visitors also graced the celebration, expressing their admiration for the studentsโ€™ efforts in promoting and preserving indigenous culture.

Transitioning from the competitions to the performances, the audience witnessed a series of breathtaking cultural dances that reflected the values, traditions, and stories of indigenous groups in the Philippines.
