The Office of the Director for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance and Development (REQAD) officially launched its initiatives for Fiscal Year 2026 through the conduct of its Strategic Planning and Management Meeting, known as Project RΒ³: Reflect. Realign. Rise., held on January 6–7, 2026, at Hotel Sophia, Cauayan City.

Serving as REQAD’s kick-off activity for the year, Project RΒ³ brought together key officials and unit heads to collectively reflect on the office’s accomplishments in 2025 and to set a clear, unified direction for the year ahead. The activity was led by Dr. Jandy S. Danzalan, Director for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, and Development, with strategic guidance from Dr. Agnes S. Reyes, Executive Director and Provost.

The two-day event focused on strengthening institutional planning through data-driven assessment, strategic alignment, and collaborative decision-making. Unit heads presented performance highlights, identified operational challenges, and participated in workshops aimed at aligning programs, projects, and activities with institutional priorities and national quality assurance standards.

Participating in the activity were Prof. Virgilio F. Reyes Jr., Head of the Extension, Alumni, Linkages, and Internationalization Unit; Atty. Donna B. Remigio, Head of the Quality Assurance Management Unit; Dr. Jane N. Cariaga, Head of the Research and Publication Unit; and Dr. Raquel R. Geronimo, Head of the Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Unit.

A significant outcome of Project RΒ³ was the emphasis on harmonization and standardization initiatives to strengthen processes across REQAD units. These initiatives aim to promote consistency, efficiency, and sustained compliance with regulatory requirements.

By beginning the year with a focused strategic planning activity, REQAD reinforced its commitment to purposeful leadership, shared accountability, and continuous improvement. The consolidated plans generated from Project RΒ³ will guide the implementation and monitoring of the office’s programs and initiatives throughout 2026.
