Today, July 24, 2023, we joyously gather at the PNUNL Gymnasium for the momentous Opening Program of our beloved institution’s 52nd Founding Anniversary with the theme “PNUNL@52 Celebrating Excellence in Teacher Education and IP Education,” we embark on a day filled with nostalgia, camaraderie, and achievements that have shaped us into the esteemed academic community we are today.

Kicking off the celebration, we were honored to have Dr. Agnes S. Reyes, the Director for Finance and Administration, deliver her heartfelt greetings. Her words of encouragement and support set the perfect tone for the event. Following her, the PEMS club brought an electrifying opening salvo, filling the air with energy and excitement.

The program was undoubtedly the presentation of the candidates for Mr. and Ms. PNU 2023, showcasing the best and brightest representatives of our university. We also had the privilege of hearing from the esteemed Dr. Leticia N. Aquino, the Executive Director, and Provost, as she shared her inspiring message, highlighting the importance of teacher education and IP education in today’s world.

A captivating display of talent awaited us as the Kalibnusan Chorale, Saniweng Rondalla, Danggayan Cultural Group, PEMS Club, and our very own faculty and staff wowed the audience with their special performances. The spirited Bench Cheer Competition further heightened the excitement, where the Sophomore students emerged victorious, followed by the Senior students and the Junior students, each team displaying unwavering school spirit.

As the program drew to a close, Atty. Donna M. Remigio, the overall chair of this momentous 52nd Founding Anniversary, expressed her heartfelt acknowledgments to everyone who contributed to making this event a grand success. Truly, this celebration marks 52 years of PNUNL’s unwavering commitment to nurturing excellence in teacher education and embracing indigenous knowledge and practices. Here’s to many more years of educational brilliance!
