The Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) and the Department of Health (DOH) Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Region 2 formally entered into a landmark partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held today, August 18, 2025, at the Innohub Building, 4th Floor.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Agnes S. Reyes, PNUNL Executive Director and Provost, emphasized the importance of collaboration in bridging education and health initiatives not only for the students of PNUNL but also for other partner institutions across Region 2. Atty. Donna Remigio, member of the PNUNL Board of Regents, formally read the provisions of the MOA and affirmed the shared commitment of both institutions toward inclusive development.

The ceremonial signing of the MOA was witnessed by officials from PNUNL and DOH-Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Region 2, showcasing the beginning of a collaborative journey. Following the signing, Dr. Charity I. Canapi, Chief of Hospital III, delivered a message outlining the next steps of the partnership, including joint programs, capacity-building efforts, and community-based projects designed to expand access to education and rehabilitation services in Cagayan Valley.

The event was made more meaningful with cultural performances from PEMS Club, PNUNL Kalibnusan Chorale, Saniweng Rondalla, and the Danggayan Cultural Group, showcasing PNUNL’s rich cultural heritage and artistic excellence.

This milestone agreement reinforced PNUNL’s role as a leading teacher education institution while strengthening its commitment to social responsibility. Together, PNUNL and DOH-TRC Region 2 are set to build a healthier, stronger, and more empowered community for the people of Region 2.
