San Guillermo, Isabela, September 26, 2025, The Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) introduces PNUNL-RECAD, a three-year extension program designed to serve the Agta community of Sitio Dilucot, Burgos, San Guillermo, Isabela.

PNUNL-RECAD is envisioned as a comprehensive community assistance and development initiative that seeks to empower Indigenous Peoples through participatory and sustainable projects. The program focuses on strengthening livelihood opportunities, socio-cultural well-being, and community resilience, while contributing to the broader vision of realizing PNUNL as a Center for Indigenous Peoples Hub in the region.

This initiative builds on the universityโ€™s long history of implementing extension programs and community engagements in Isabela province, marking a new endeavor dedicated to the Agta community. By combining education, research, and community service, PNUNL-RECAD aims to create inclusive pathways for Indigenous empowerment and cultural preservation.

To ensure shared ownership and accountability, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Agta community will be formalized, outlining commitments for collaborative implementation throughout the programโ€™s three-year duration.
