𝙏𝙬𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙮 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙪𝙯𝙤𝙣 (𝙋𝙉𝙐𝙉𝙇), 𝘿𝙧. 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮 𝙎. 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙯𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖 𝙅. 𝙇𝙚𝙖ñ𝙤, 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 2𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖-𝙋𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧 27–28, 2025, 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙚.

The event gathered around 40 participants from over 15 countries, reflecting the region’s shared commitment to sustainability through education. Organized by the College of Integrative Studies, Singapore Management University, and the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), the symposium served as a platform for sharing innovations and practices that promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Discussions were organized around five key themes: Campus Greening and Operations, Sustainability in the Curriculum, Sustainability Research, Community Engagement and Cooperation, and The Nexus between Peace and Sustainability. These themes emphasized the integration of sustainability principles into teaching, research, extension and institutional practices.

Dr. Danzalan and Dr. Leaño’s participation highlights PNU North Luzon’s commitment to advancing global sustainability goals and promoting education that equips learners to build a more sustainable and responsible future. Selected papers from the symposium will be featured in Springer Nature’s World Sustainability Series, further contributing to the growing body of knowledge on sustainable higher education.
