The Center for Indigenous Peoples Education leads the celebration of the National Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month this October, bannering the theme “Pagtataguyod ng Pamayanang Kultural para sa Isang Matatag na Pilipinas.” Among the major activities to watch for includes Hubness Reels for Real, indiGENIUS PNUans, Intayon Agluto, Launching of Burnay: A Research Compendium on IPEd, Presentation of IPEd Logo, Garong: A Cultural cum Fashion Show and the Participatory Sensing for Cultural Integrity and Research. The IP Month celebrated in pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 1906, s. 2009 which declares the month of October as the National Indigenous Peoples Month mandates the recognition and protection of the rights of Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC)/IPs. #IPMonthCelebration #IPhubPNUNL
