University North Luzon culminated the Project Mentoring Early Childhood
Teachers (MET), an extension program spearheaded by the Prof Ed faculty of the
university in partnership with the Local Government Unit and Department and
Social Welfare and Development of Cauayan City at the SDO Function Hall,
Cauayan City on December 7, 2022.
Seventy-six (76) Child
Development Workers of Cauayan City completed the training launched in 2021. It
aimed to equip the participants with knowledge and skills in teaching young
learners. Mrs. Rodelyn Ancheta, City Social Welfare and Development Officer of
Cauayan City and Dr. Ruby Maur representing SDO Cauayan City gave their
messages to inspire the participants. Dr. Leticia N. Aquino, Project MET
Proponent and Executive Director and Provost, emphasized that the training was
just Phase 1 of the project and expressed hope that Phase 2 would be granted.
In response to the
project, a participant-representative expressed her gratitude to the proponent,
facilitators and sponsors. Meanwhile, Dr. Nicette Ganal, extension worker
representative, stressed that the Project MET Team found the participants
cooperative during the training.
