Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) kicked off its Universityhood celebration on January 11, 2022 in University Gymnasium. The said celebration started with a Thanksgiving Mass followed by the Campustahan, Faculty and Staff Meeting, Convocation and Laro ng Lahi respectively. Meantime, the celebration commemorated the conversion of Philippine Normal University from its then name Philippine Normal College in 1991 by virtue of Republic Act No. 7168. Moreover, Hon. Joel Amos P. Alejandro, Municipal Mayor of Alicia, Isabela graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker, as well as Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, President of Isabela State University duly represented by Dr. Jonathan Nayga.
