The Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) conducted the Year 3 of PANAGPABILEG: Research Empowerment Program on April 29, 2026 via an online platform, focusing on “Publishing Articles in Scopus-Indexed Journals.” The activity brought together faculty, staff and students in a meaningful learning session aimed at strengthening their research skills and guiding them toward successful publication in internationally indexed journals.

The highlight of the program was the engaging discussion of resource speaker Prof. Joseph T. Lobo, a distinguished Filipino physical education scholar with over 100 Scopus-indexed publications. He shared practical tips, real experiences, and helpful strategies on how to navigate the publication process, choose the right journals, and improve the chances of getting published in Scopus-indexed journals. Participants actively participated in the session, gaining valuable insights and a clearer understanding of academic publishing.

Looking ahead, the Panagpabileg program will continue to support researchers through ongoing manuscript refinement sessions, alignment with international publishing standards, and initiatives aimed at boosting publication success in high-impact journals. Future activities include hands-on workshops, peer review simulations, and mentorship opportunities, all fostering sustained research empowerment at PNU North Luzon.
