As the indigenous peoples education hub, PNU North Luzon festively and innovatively celebrated the IP Month Celebration through the culminating activity dubbed as ‘Garong’ with the theme “Pagtataguyod ng Pamayanang Kultural para sa Isang Matatag na Pilipinas” today, October 26, 2022, at PNUNL Gymnasium. Garong was a cultural cum fashion show which showcased songs, dances (Manmanok, Bendian, Idudu, Ragragsakan, Salip/Ngilin and Bumayah), and attires of various IP groups participated by faculty, staff, and select students. Dr. Jandy S. Danzalan, the OIC of the Center for Indigenous Peoples Education, spearheaded the activity, as well as the other activities—Intayon Agluto (Cookfest Competition), Indigenius PNUans (Quiz Bee), Hubness Reels for Real (Video-Making Competition), Launching of Burnay (A Research Compendium on IP Education), Pamulaan (Participatory Sensing for Cultural Integrity and Research), and the Presentation of the Indigenous Peoples Education Hub Logo. Ms. Anne Marie C.
